How does the 4-day walk compare? Challenge wise Scenic Rim Trail is comparable to Seven Peaks Walk, Cradle Mountain (overland), Classic Larapinta.

What is unique? There are a few unique standouts. The time spent in stunning Gondwana Rainforest, the purpose built & privately owned accommodation and finally the food & hospitality experience.

Porterage Options: Want to hike light? Porterage is available as an add-on. Travelling as a duo? You can share one 12kg bag between you.

Gear Choices: Poles are recommended for this hike — borrow ours if you don’t have your own. Shoe or ankle gaiters are personal preference and not essential on this terrain.

Water on Trail: You’ll need to carry your water each day, as refills aren’t available on the trail. A hydration bladder is more convenient than bottles. At camp, refill at any tap — all water is rain-harvested and UV-filtered.

Guide Experience: This is a guided, immersive hike. Expect to travel at the pace of the group and enjoy learning from your guides along the way.

Comfort on Trail: A lightweight seat pad is provided for breaks — a small luxury that makes a big difference during rest stops.

Food & Snacks: You’ll be very well fed throughout the hike, so there’s no need to bring extra snacks unless you have personal favourites.

Dry Bags: Highly recommended for your day pack — essential if you’re carrying all your gear.

First Aid: We carry a substantial first aid kit, but it helps to bring your own small personal kit with essentials like Panadol, Nurofen, hikers wool, and Hydralite (especially in warmer months).

Being in the outdoors can bring the unexpected — from changing weather to the occasional leech or tick — but your experience will help newer hikers feel at ease.
