Booking Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. You must not make any booking unless you understand and agree with the following terms and conditions.

References to “us”, “we” and/or “our” in these booking terms and conditions shall mean THRL Pty Ltd trading as Scenic Rim Trail.

These terms and conditions apply to bookings you make with us over the phone, via chat, via email, in-person or online.

We will rely on the authority of the person making the booking to act on behalf of any other traveller on the booking and that person will bind all such travellers to these terms and conditions.

Rate Terms & Conditions

2025 Early Bird Rate

Early Bird offers are valid for direct bookings only and are subject to change without notice. Bookings are non-refundable and full payment is required at time of booking. Date changes will incur $100 per person change fee plus any additional rate difference up to 61 days in advance. Changes within 60 days cannot be made. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect yourself against unforeseen events. All change requests must be received in writing.

2025 Advance Purchase Rate

Must be booked 61 days or more in advance. Bookings are non-refundable and full payment is required at time of booking. Date changes will incur $100 per person change fee plus any additional rate difference up to 61 days in advance. Changes within 60 days cannot be made. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect yourself against unforeseen events. All change requests must be received in writing.

2025 Standard Flexible Rate Booking

$500 non-refundable per person deposit. Date changes permitted free of charge up to 61 days in advance. Cancellation fee is $500 per person up to 61 days in advance. Full payment is required 60 days in advance. Changes between 60 and 31 days in advance incur a $100 per person change fee plus any additional rate difference. Within 30 days of departure changes cannot be made. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect yourself against unforeseen events.

All change requests must be received in writing.

Early Bird 2026

Book by 27 November 2025, subject to limited availability and may sell out prior. Limited places for solo travellers per tour. Early Bird offers are valid for direct bookings only. Non-refundable and full payment is required at the time of booking. Subject to limited availability per tour and valid until sold out. Date changes will incur a $100 per person change fee plus any additional rate difference up to 91 days in advance. Changes within 90 days cannot be made.

2026 Special Offer Rate

Book by end of Sale date, subject to limited availability and may sell out prior. Limited availability for solo travellers. A maximum of two solo travellers are permitted per tour. Where more than two solo travellers are requested, a solo supplement of 75% of the total twin share rate applies. Subject to approval. Bookings are non-refundable and full payment is required at time of booking. Date changes will incur $100 per person change fee plus any additional rate difference up to 91 days in advance. Changes within 90 days cannot be made. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect yourself against unforeseen events. All change requests must be received in writing.

Flexible Rate 2026

$500 non-refundable per person deposit required at time of booking. Limited availability for solo travellers. A maximum of two solo travellers are permitted per tour. Where more than two solo travellers are requested, a solo supplement of 75% of the total twin share rate applies. Subject to approval. Date changes permitted free of charge up to 61 days in advance. Pricing
Prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or changed without notice. Prices are not guaranteed until booked. Sale offers are strictly limited and valid for the designated sale period or until sold out, whichever comes first. Availability can change at any time. To proceed with this reservation and secure your booking we require the deposit and/or booking to be paid in full depending on the rate chosen.

Guaranteed Departures

Tours require a minimum number of participants to proceed. Look for Guaranteed Departures on the Tour Dates page. If a tour does not meet minimum numbers, you will be contacted and alternative dates offered, or a full refund provided.

Changes to your booking
Subject to your refund and remedy rights under the Australian Consumer Law, the following change and cancellation fees apply to our standard rate packages and bookings. Refer to your confirmation received at the time of booking as special packages may have unique conditions.

If minimum numbers are not met on any tour, we will contact you to arrange an alternative date.

Trail routes are subject to change due to weather or environmental conditions.

Protect your travel plans
We believe in the value of peace of mind. Travel insurance is regarded as essential for all domestic travel, providing you with a potential safety net should the unexpected occur.

Health
You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to your travel.

You must ensure that you are physically fit and able to undertake the walk. Parts of the trail are Grade 5 with uneven terrain. Training for the conditions is required.

All guests must complete a medical waiver at least 4 weeks prior to departure.

Credit card fees
The following fees apply for credit card payments:

0.8% for Visa Debit or Credit and Mastercard Debit or Credit
3.6% for American Express.

There are no additional fees for EFTPOS, direct deposit or cash payments.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither THRL PTY LTD nor any of its related bodies corporate, directors, employees or agents accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control, force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control or which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part. Under circumstances where our liability cannot be excluded and where liability may be lawfully limited, such liability is limited to the remedies required of us under applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law). This liability clause is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

Special requirements
Please advise any special requirements you may have for your travel arrangements at time of booking or before arrival. Please refer to our FAQs regarding dietary requirements and what we are able to cater to. Being a remote touring product not all dietaries can be catered to.

Privacy policy
We are committed to protecting your personal information and agree to handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available online at scenicrimtrail.com/privacy.

By providing personal information to us, you agree that our Privacy Policy will apply to how we handle your personal information and you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal information as detailed in our Privacy Policy. In particular, you agree that in certain circumstances (such as where you request us to book an experience for you), we are permitted to disclose your personal information to external recipients. Such recipients may include the travel service providers (e.g. tour providers) with whom you make a booking. Generally, we will only disclose your personal information to these persons in connection with facilitation of your travel booking and/or to enable the performance of administrative and technical services by them on our behalf. When we disclose your personal information to any person, you agree that we will not be required to ensure that person’s compliance with Australian privacy laws or otherwise be accountable for how they handle your personal information. When used above, “disclose” includes to transfer, share, send, or otherwise make available or accessible to another person or entity.

Governing Law
If any dispute arises between you and us, the laws of Australia will apply. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia, and waive any right that you may have to object to an action being brought in those courts.

Acknowledgement
You acknowledge that you are 18 years of age or older and that you understand and agree with the above Booking Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
