Food

Head Chef Jake Knauth has crafted the Scenic Rim Trail menu over four years, tweaking and tailoring season by season to create a dining experience that is connected, nourishing and delicious.

The extensively researched menu evolves over the entirety of the walk, with careful thought put into the developing mood, spirit and physical condition of the individual and group. Each day is different, with new ingredients and ideas unfolding on the plate.

The kitchen embraces the local produce and market gardens found dotted along the trail path, using only the very best and freshest of ingredients. A growing program of house made pickles, preserves, relishes and condiments are stocked and used throughout the walk – Preserving and learning from the traditions of the region’s strong history of country kitchen cooking.

We cater for standard dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan and can cater to allergies. If you have specific dietaries, please contact our reservations team who can connect you with our chefs for a discussion. Guides manage the cooking on tour with chefs managing the preparation in advance so not all dietaries can be catered for.

Wine & Beverages

For the 2025 season and beyond beverages will no longer be included in the tour packages and instead will be available to purchase. We have listened to feedback from walkers who don’t drink alcohol and removed the cost from the package so everyone can enjoy beverages of their own choosing.

We have a generous beverage offering including:

  • Wine – Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Pinot Gris, Prosecco, Rose, Port
  • Spirits – Gin, Whiskey, Vodka, Rum
  • Beer – zero alcohol, Lager, Pale Ale, Ginger Beer
  • Other – kombucha, soft drinks, mineral water
