Having the necessary qualifications and ensuring they are current are critical. You are responsible for ensuring your quals are renewed prior to any expiry.

What you need:

• Drivers licence
• First Aid renewed 3 yearly (relevant to your role)
• CPR renewed annually
• Responsible Service of Alcohol
• Food Safety Certificate (if making / serving food)
• Chainsaw ticket (if required for your role)
• Blue Card (if relevant to your role)

Branded shirts are provided to all team members across all departments. Our base colour is black so you will need to provide black shoes, pants / shorts, fleece jumpers / jackets.  All uniforms need to be returned should you leave at some point in the future.

Our uniforms are required to be worn during working hours and kept in a neat and tidy condition. We are all guest facing in one way or another so please wear your uniform with pride and consider the importance of our presentation in relation to our brand experience.

If you are staying overnight on tour, please dress appropriately at camp including sleeping wear. If staying in the bunk room at the ecocamps it is likely guests will still be in the lounge after you’ve finished. When coming out of the room please ensure you have shoes on, hair is neat, and clothing is appropriate likewise at Spicers Canopy when using communal bathrooms.

Uniform Standards

• Wear your name badge when greeting guests
• Shirt is ironed (not required for polos)
• Black pants suitable to your role (not jeans or cargo pants)
• Enclosed hiking/work boots must be worn at all times including creek crossings
• Rubber soled black hosting shoes to avoid slips
• While hiking, please ensure your hiking shirt is tucked in
• While hiking, your hair presentable with a hat on
• Clean hosting uniform once you are finished hiking and loose hair pulled back.
• You must change immediately into hosting shoes, if hiking shoes are muddy.
• We are not permitted to walk around in socks.
• Black fleece jumper, black puffer jacket & ideally black raincoat for guiding
• Hoodies and other loose style jumpers are not permitted
• Shoes must be worn at all times while at a Spicers property, including creek crossings

You are expected to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene including: 

• Wearing deodorant.  
• Hair is clean.  
• Maintaining fresh breath
• Perfumes and aftershave are sparingly applied.
• If you have a cut, abrasion or sore you must apply appropriate first aid and cover it.

• Secateurs and / or silky saw
• Lunch box / coffee mug

You will need to provide:

• Black Hiking Pants/Shorts 

• Black Hosting Trousers/Pants (or shorts during hotter weather) 

• Hiking Shoes 

• All Black Shoes for indoor work, with rubber or non-slip soles 

• Black Fleece Jumper and black Puffer Jacket for winter

• Waterproof Raincoat (black preferred) 

• Watch (mandatory for on trail)

• Smart Phone 

• Water bottles and/or water bladder 

• 50L+ Hiking Backpack   

• Water resistant luggage bag  

• Extra snacks if you are a big eater
